I started coaching Aly Jay (@alyjayrunsflag on Instagram) in 2015. I'd known her for several years, and when I got the coaching certification from McMillan Running she was one of the first people to reach out to me. Fast forward a few years, and she's done some GREAT things ... not only in running, but in life. She's a mom, business owner, accomplished singer/songwriter, and a runner. I've had the pleasure of pacing her through several ultras (including Western States 100), and watched her grow into someone that enjoys her time on the trails and roads. Thank you, Aly, for allowing me to be a small part of your life.
She offered these thoughts about our coach/athlete relationship:
Today I'm excited to announce the start of my new company, Dunstan Running.
My enthusiasm for the sport led me here. There's no other time in my life where I can achieve complete peace, no other time when that I have completely to myself. It brings peace, clarity and calmness to my busy, hectic life.
It's my hope that I can help other embrace running as a lifestyle. Not just for the occasional race, but for the long haul.
I'm very proud to announce that I'm now officially a McMillan Running Certified Coach. Greg McMillan is highly regarded in the running world as the leader of running coaching. After spending time with him and his team of coaches, my already high opinion of his knowledge and systems has grown to an all time high.
I'm excited to use this new information I've gained to help you become your personal best!
